a 50/50  that spends a couple of weeks on skins and eighteen months in old casks before release. Fruit-forward and friendly, but retains a deeply savory character. The Merlot gives you dark, soft, plummy, blackberry fruit and supple texture; the Pignoli, structure, spice, and dry and raspy tannins  (in the best kind of way). A stylish, rich, and seductive red wine with guts and verve but also plenty of elegance.
