Grapes for this wine are grown on calcareous clay soils typical of the local area, and the resultant wine is quite classic in its profile. Crisp, clean, fruit-driven and delicate.

About the producer: La Raia estate is a property of over 180 hectares, with around one third of the land under vine. Giorgio Rossi Cairo bought the farm in 2003 and since then has enacted changes to ensure an operation fully governed by biodynamic principles. They make three different Gavi wines and two Barberas, enabling nuanced expressions of their terroir to prevail.
