White flowers on the nose, with green hedgerow fruits and citrus. On the palate, stone fruits balanced with crisp acidity. This wine has seen some skin contact, giving it a subtle but noticeable pithy texture similar to that of a light orange wine. Easy drinking, consistent and versatile.
About the producer: This family business is into its fifth generation, after brothers Alexander and Martin took over from their father Norbert in 2011. The brothers set out on a radical, even controversial path to show German wines in a new and irreverent light. Their names and labels of course captured the imagination and people’s attention – their wines have featured pit-side at the German Grand Prix – but behind the anecdotes and jokes are brilliantly made wines from the rolling hills of the Pfalz and their vineyards in and around Landau- Nussdorf.
