Really pale thing in the glass, this: an almost rosé, tomato red. And there are lovely aromas of hazelnut and ripe red fruits, both domestic and wild. I found strawberry and rosehip, along with nuances of orange peel, plus dried flowers. In the mouth, it is cool and medium weight and the fresh acidity kicks in early on, followed by those tacky-fresh Grignolino tannins that are very present but very well managed. It's a long and juicy wine and there's an airiness about it. It ends on a full and fully-structured finish. Very long and lovely wine.
About the producer: Since 1891 the Cossetti family has been producing wines with a defined personality, with the same passion that has been passed down over the generations. They have been living on the hills of Monferrato for over a century, whilst trying to find the best method to express the territoriality of our products. They bring together tradition and innovation so that we can look forward to the future without forgetting our past.
