About the producer: Le Puy has a long history in Bordeaux, dating back to the early 17th century. Located on the Right Bank, near Saint-Emilion, they follow the traditions of the area by using a greater portion of Merlot in their wines. However, the ‘classicism’ stops there. In opposition to the overwhelming norm of the area, some of their wines use no oak at all, and the vineyards are fully biodynamic. There is minimal sulfur use, but the wines retain incredible longevity. Now farmed by the 15th generation, this estate can be considered quietly iconic.
